Firstly let us say we were very happy with E-hoi and would use them again Now to MSC- this was our first cruise with them but we have been on many other cruises with P&O, Holland America, Princess and Costa Positive aspects- the cruise was very affordable , the port destinations were very good, the embarkation and disembarkation was fast and well organised, the cabin and main dining room staff were efficient, the music on board was plentiful and varied Negative aspects- the food was of poor standard- dining room meals were generally well cooked, however very little variety and one had to pay for drinking water with the meal, buffet food was frequently cold, overcooked and almost inedible, the buffet staff appeared to be new to the job and usually unhelpful, excursions were overpriced as previously described often one had no option but to participate as MSC had purchased all available tickets in advance In summary-"you get what you pay for" but be aware that many things you may believe are included in the price may be deemed as extra. We would probably not go on another MSC cruise (We had considered their 2024 World Cruise)
The bars were good, including the service dining room was good and service was very good the buffet was a great disappointment in terms of food and staff who were not well trained

Shows were in order but not outstanding we did 2 cruise back to back and the second week was a repeat performance the music and bands were very good-
the sauna and steam room- initially required to pay approximately Euro 130 for 1 week for us this was increased to over Euro 150 on the second part of the cruise. Compared to all other cruises we have been on this seemed very excessive as it is usually free Hairdresser and Beauty prices within norm for cruise ship
