Fantastic! Loved our cabin...spacious and nice! Service was outstanding! One of our best holidays ever. And my teenage daughter loved it and is now hooked on cruising.
We did not go to Rome, Florence or Pisa, because in one day it is not possible to really see everything. We had already seen it on a previous trip. I did not go on any excursions organized by the ship. I think they were too expensive.
The Adventure of the Seas is a beautiful ship, and has everything one needs to have a holiday of a lifetime.
Our cabin was in the Forward, right in front of the ship and was larger than the regular rooms. We loved the cabin since it was spacious and had such good storage. We were very, very comfortable and our stateroom attendant was so good.
Lovely choice of food both buffet and a-la-carte. Ate too much and gained weight...but it was wonderful including the outstanding service. The cost of beverages are much too high. If they priced it better, people would drink more!
I think the entertainment used to be better before, but it was really good enough. The cruise director Warren, the cultural director Jerome and Katy the Activities Manager are really hardworking and are seen everywhere on the ship taking part in all the activities personally. That I have not seen before! We were wondering how they can keep this up for every cruise. Simply amazing!
The first night we were seated with a nice German couple and two middle-aged German women. They were not happy to be seated with just one man and two other women and a teenager. The woman told me that teenagers should be sitting around camp fires and not on a cruise ship. I changed my table and was put in a table with a Scotish couple, a father and son from UK and a South African couple. They were delightful and enjoyed having my teenage daughter at the table. My daughter also enjoyed their company and now we are all such good friends. My daughter also enjoyed the activities of the teen club and made some friends of her own age.
