Free at Sea Concept
The free at Sea concept offers great flexibility to all Norwegian Cruise Line guests. In addition to the standard services included in the base price, guests can book up to five additional services for a flat fee (the amount varies depending on the cruise length). The services include:
• a premium beverage package, • an internet package (free internet minutes depending on cruise length), • a specialty dining package, • a shore excursion credit of $50 per cabin and port, and • a discount for the 3rd and 4th person in the cabin (on selected cruises).
The beverage package is available to all adult guests over 21 years old in the cabin. If the first/second guest in the cabin is underage, they will receive a non-alcoholic soda package instead. Additional children in the cabin do not receive a beverage package. The specialty dining package applies to the first and second person in the cabin, and both guests must select the same services. The number of specialty dining meals depends on the length of the cruise and the cabin category. Additional guests in the cabin can book individual packages.
Guests can add the Free at Sea program when booking a Studio, Inside, Oceanview, Balcony Cabin, or Club Balcony Suite, or upgrade to Free at Sea up to 24 hours before departure. For all guests in Suites (Category H & S), all 5 packages are automatically included.
An upgrade to Free at Sea Plus is available for all voyages as well. This offers a wide range of options to complement the existing selection. A wider selection of spirits, selected wines and champagne by the glass. Many types of wine and champagne can be purchased by the bottle at a 40% discount. Additional varieties are available by the glass at no extra charge. The included selection of spirits is also generally larger. When visiting a Starbucks café, the first coffee speciality is free. Drinks are also included at selected bars on Great Stirrup Cay. Surcharges in specialty restaurants are reduced by 50 per cent. When choosing the internet option, guests now have unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi for streaming, with use limited to one device per guest.
