The luxurious expedition ship HANSEATIC inspiration is the sister ship of the HANSEATIC nature and offers, amongst others, expedition cruises into the Arctic and the Antarctic. For this reason the ship was equipped with the ice class PC6, the highest ice class for passenger vessels. To preserve the nature of the destinations and to reduce emissions, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises supplied the HANSEATIC inspiration with a modern and environmental friendly technique. Cruises with the HANSEATIC inspiration are made for an international public so that German and English are the languages spoken on board. Exploring the nature already begins on board of the ship. The new platform in front of the pow enables the passengers to get real close to nature. And the two extendable balconies made of glass create the feeling to float above the water. With only 230 passengers the HANSEATIC inspiration is a comparatively small ship, that guarantees a personal touch. For cruises to the Arctic and Antarctic only 199 passengers can be carried so that the expedition experience gets even more intense. For the guests’ well-being on board a lot of effort was put into the design of the 120 cabins and suites. All cabins have access to daylight, most of them even to a balcony or a French balcony. The equipment of the cabins leaves nothing to be desired. This is ensured by the free minibar, a coffee machine, a separable double bed, a rain shower and air conditioning. The offer is completed by equipment for expeditions like binoculars and Nordic Walking sticks. Additionally a heatable wall is placed in the bathroom for drying towels or wet parkas.Culinary indulgences
No culinary desires are left unfulfilled on board of the HANSEATIC inspiration even in the most remote expedition areas. That is guaranteed by the three restaurants with free choice of seat for all guest so that the guests are flexible when choosing their table and restaurant. The choice can be made out of the main restaurant with 178 seats, the specialty restaurant for 44 persons and the Bistro Restaurant that seats 84 persons inside and 100 persons outside.Freetime activities on board
The HANSEATIC inspiration offers a lot of possibilities for leisure activities so that the spectacular shore excursions are not the only reasons to go on an expedition cruise with the HANSEATIC inspiration. A scientific deepening of the expedition experiences is possible in the learning atelier where guests can find interesting information about the topic of the expedition and the destinations and where they can look at interesting objects found at the excursions under a microscope. Everyone who wants to relax after an exhausting expedition day should go to the spa area where he can e.g. visit the sauna. The sun deck invites – depending on weather conditions of the destination – to a sunbath or to enjoy the fresh air. The pool on the sun deck is independent from weather conditions because of its flexible tent roof. The pool also has a counter-current system. In the fitness area, modern equipment and a great view of the ocean invite to a work out and in a separate room different sport courses are offered.
