Door de betrekkelijk lage prijs van de cruise was het publiek over het algemeen oud en eenvoudig. Door de gratis tafeldranken werd er veel gedronken. De aanlegplaatsen van het schip lagen soms ver (dus niet op loopafstand) van de steden. Als je de Duitse taal niet goed machtig bent, mis je een hoop informatie.
