The sister islands of Tahaa and Raiatea lie in a lagoon that delights visitors with its colours of saphire and emerald. They are surrounded by a reef. Although Raiatea is also relatively untouched, Tahaa has an even more primordial charm. The island, with its gentle slopes and craggy coastline is also called "Vanilla Island". A visit to a vanilla farm is highly recommended. A unique feature on Tahaa is the turtle reserve, which is working to conserve stocks of sea turtles. The island also has numerous white sandy beaches while the lagoon is a true paradise for divers and windsurfers .

The island of Huahine is one of the Society Islands and lies 175 km north-west of Tahiti. Huahine comprises two islands connected by a bridge, and surrounded by a coral reef. The island, which is volcanic in origin, is home to 5,000 people. The picturesque fishing village of Fare is the main town on the island. The airport is on the North Island. At the southern tip of the South Island there are breathtaking diving areas with a legendary variety of species of fish.
