On board of the Carnival Sunrise guests can fill every day of their cruise with a broad variety of activities – a lot of fun is guaranteed! The ship set sail for the first time in 1999 as the Carnival Triumph for Carnival Cruise Lines. In spring 2019, the vessel got a very extensive modernization and the latest activities, restaurants and spa facilities of the Carnival fleet were added to the ship. Therefore the Carnival Triumph was named Carnival Sunrise. The ship's cabins were also upgraded as part of the renovation, 115 cabins were added and two new suite categories were created.

Activities for every taste

Guests of the Carnival Sunrise will find both action and relaxation aboard the Fun Ship. The action-packed activities on board include the WaterWorks Water Park with its many slides and the high-wire Sky Course, which promises breathtaking sea views. For movie fans, a highlight on board is the open-air cinema in the pool area, where the latest films are shown under the stars. In the Video Arcade guests will find a large selection of video games and simulators for all ages. Furthermore, art seminars, karaoke shows and cocktail workshops as well as a varied entertainment program are offered.

Sport and relaxation at the Carnival Sunrise

For guests who like to do their work out on vacation, there is a gym with state-of-the-art equipment on board of the Carnival Sunrise. In addition, the guests can also run their laps on the jogging track and use the large sport course offer. For relaxation, there is the spa area Cloud 9 Spa, which promises a break from all the action. The spa offer includes relaxing massages, nourishing facial treatments, pampering beauty treatments and ample space for relaxation in the Thermal Suite. Guests can also relax in the Serenity relaxation area, accessible only to adults. In the Hair & Beauty Salon everything is ready for a new haircut or a manicure or pedicure. There are also special applications and shaves for men, and even adolescents can enjoy various applications in the ZSpa.

Restaurant variety on board

The guests of the Carnival Sunrise can enjoy a lot of different dining options. The price of the cruise includes the main restaurant and the buffet restaurant Lido Restaurant, but also some other restaurants can be used at no extra charge. These include a grill restaurant, a salad bar, a deli, the Pizzeria del Capitano, the Mexican BlueIguana Cantina and Guy's Burger Joint. For guests with an exclusive taste, there are additional specialty restaurants available for a small extra charge, serving fancy and excellent food. Whether Italian specialties in the Cucina del Capitano, perfect steaks in the steakhouse, sushi in the Bonsai Sushi Express, fresh seafood in the Seafood Shack or gourmet experiences at the Chef's Table – there is something for every taste!

Cabins and suites of the Carnival Sunrise

The cabins of the Carnival Sunrise are a cozy retreat aboard and offer a comprehensive equipment. A private bathroom and 24-hour cabin service are available in each cabin. In addition to the reasonably priced indoor cabins, outside cabins with sea views are available. The balcony cabins each have a private balcony on which guests can enjoy some fresh air. A lot of space and VIP check-in is offered to the guests booking a suite. The suite categories range from the junior suite to the extra spacious Captain's Suite with large balcony, separate living and sleeping areas and two bathrooms. For spa lovers, on-board spa cabins are located near the spa area, offering free access to the spa and the guests of these cabins benefit when booking treatments.
