Expedition Ship HANSEATIC Spirit

Since August 2021, one of the newest ships in the Hapag Llyod Cruises fleet has been completed and is now setting sail as the HANSEATIC spirit. The expedition ship can travel to many destinations where larger cruise ships have to turn around, allowing guests to experience spectacular natural landscapes up close. Authentic expedition experiences leave nothing to be desired on this luxury liner and passengers can thus enjoy their surroundings to the full. There is room for 230 passengers on board the HANSEATIC spirit, 199 guests can take part in expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic, so a personal atmosphere is guaranteed. A great highlight are two retractable glass balconies, from which one can perfectly overlook the experiences in nature and enjoy the view.

Culinary delights - adventure and pleasure on board the HANSEATIC Spirit

With three restaurants, the HANSEATIC spirit impresses with a wide selection of international gourmet cuisine in a unique way. In the speciality restaurant "l'esprit" passengers can tastefully discover French cuisine. Particular attention is paid to freshness, quality and regional ingredients. Furthermore, there are various bars and outdoor terraces on board where guests can indulge themselves to the fullest and enjoy a cool drink or two with a breathtaking panoramic backdrop.

Sport and relaxation in perfect balance

Those who want to be active can show what they can do on 100 m²: A fitness room as well as a separate course room with a sea view are available, and a diverse range of courses on deck is sure to please one or two athletes. On the top deck there is a huge pool area with counter-current system and a whirlpool for relaxation. To compensate for the active sports part, guests can then have a massage in the Ocean Spa or relax in the sauna.

On board this ship, guests experience spectacular adventures and unforgettable experiences. Whether camping in Antarctica, hiking with experts or stand-up paddling on the world's oceans, there is always something to discover. On board, the HANSEATIC spirit delights with a glass balcony, an observation lounge and an outdoor area at the bow, from where passengers can observe natural spectacles up close. Experienced experts are present on all voyages, giving exciting lectures every day, which can be followed up voluntarily in the Ocean Academy to deepen the knowledge.

Cabin design and well-being on board

The "Inspired by nature" concept reinterprets comfort on this ship. With natural colours, appealing designs and spacious cabins, nothing stands in the way of the feeling of "being at home". All cabins are equipped with, among other things, binoculars from SWAROVSKI OPTIK and Nordic walking sticks, a rain shower, a free minibar for non-alcoholic drinks and a reliable 24-hour cabin service. As there are only outside cabins, it is possible for all guests to enjoy daylight in the cabins as well as a magnificent view over the sea. The Grand and Junior Suites in particular, however, delight with a steam sauna in the shower area and large balconies.
