Equipped with ice class PC6 and a multitude of modern hardware and technologies, the ultra-luxury expedition ship Seabourn Venture enables expeditions to warm water areas such as the Amazon as well as to cold water areas in the polar regions. Kayaks and 24 Zodiacs, which the luxury ship houses, offer intense and memorable expedition experiences. Through the innovative design developed by Adam Tihany especially for the luxurious expedition traveler, the concept of an intellectual hub with a private club atmosphere unfolds, which adheres to the pioneering spirit of the early explorers. Varied activities on board
The luxury ship offers a wide range of facilities for comprehensive knowledge transfer, entertainment and relaxation on board. These include a spa, gym, infinity pool, four whirlpools and sauna. Seabourn Venture offers a choice of restaurants serving a wide range of international cuisine. Here guests can enjoy gourmet cuisine as well as local specialities.
For the adventurous, water and shore equipment is available, including kayaks, Zodiacs and diving gear. There are also special expedition teams on board to accompany the ship and help passengers explore the surrounding areas.
Expedition Lounge: On deck 4 is the heart of the ship in the form of the Expedition Lounge, which is the focus of Seabourn's expedition operations, where guests come together every day before and after the expeditions. The lounge is an elementary meeting point with an inviting, dignified atmosphere that offers guests the opportunity to share photos and adventurous experiences of the day with fellow travelers and on-board staff over a relaxing cocktail or a good glass of wine from the bar. As an ode to the spirit of adventure, the Expedition Lounge also features a vintage map of the Antarctic that can be admired on a glass partition and two large touchscreens that display photos, navigation and weather maps, among other things.
Discovery Center: Next to the expedition lounge on deck 4 is the Discovery Center, which offers enough space for all guests and serves as a “conference venue and academic center” for natural history and cultural programs. Daily events include briefings, insightful presentations, and a Seabourn-designed program designed to train guests throughout their expedition experience. The 26-person expedition team, made up of scientists, naturalists, wilderness experts and historians, offers comprehensive and exciting lectures and discussions on numerous topics relating to the regions in which the expeditions take place. In addition, high-resolution screens with a height of 2.5 m and a width of 10 m bring audiovisual experiences to life.
Landing zone: Deck 3 has a 60 m² landing zone on the starboard and port sides with mooring and unloading points, which can be used for changing clothes and for cleaning and storing equipment. In addition, the two areas allow direct access to one of the 24 Zodiacs on deck 2, which are available for various activities outside the ship. In tropical areas, the landing zones can also be used for snorkeling and similar activities.
Spacious and luxurious accommodation
The lavishly furnished, luxurious suites, which are between 33 m² and 130 m² in size, extend over four decks. They all have a separate spacious living area and a private veranda that offers a magnificent view of the highlights of the trip.
