Wir sind für Sie da.
The house at Bonngasse 20 was built around 1700, before the famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born there 70 years later. Today, the house serves as a museum as well as a memorial and is one of the most visited museums of this kind in the world with over 100,000 visitors. In addition to the permanent exhibition and the changing special exhibitions, numerous concerts take place in the Beethoven House every year. The opening hours are Thursday to Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday are days of rest. For adults, the museum costs about 10 euros and for children about 7 euros. Reduced admission is possible for individuals and groups.
Visitors to the permanent exhibition delve into a journey through German history from 1945 onwards. Whether the post-war years, the wild 70s or the time of reunification: in the House of History, all generations can relate to historical events. An audio guide helps to get a good overview of the exhibition and its history. This is free of charge, just like the entire museum. The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday is a day of rest.
