Sofia Loren was godmother to the MSC Magnifica, which was baptised in Hamburg in March 2010. Her sister ships are the MSC Orchestra, the MSC Musica and the MSC Poesia, all of which belong to the Musica class. The noble design has been skilfully combined with the latest technology, so that the cruise ship also convinces with a noteworthy energy and environmental balance. The name of the MSC Magnifica translates as "magnificent" or "grand". The ship lives up to its name. Excellent service and the stylish ambience round off a cruise on board the MSC Magnifica. The 2,500 passengers are spread out over the ship's 13 passenger decks with plenty of space. Thanks to a special room concept, about 80 percent of the MSC Magnifica's cabins are outside cabins, of which as many as 65 percent have their own balcony.
Exclusive MSC Yacht Club
Starting in summer 2026, the Yacht Club will focus on the comfort of its members aboard the MSC Magnifica as well. 63 suites and selected areas will then be exclusively available to members, including the well-known "Top Sail Lounge," unlimited access to the MSC Aurelia Spa thermal area, and first-class gourmet restaurants. For a truly carefree vacation, the 24-hour butler and concierge service caters to guests’ individual wishes.
Relaxation on board
The amenities of the spacious wellness area will help you forget the worries of everyday life. Guests can relax, for example, with a massage treatment or cosmetic treatment with a wonderful view over the sea. The Balinese spa impresses with its stylish interior with natural stones and artistic mosaics. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing day in the "Aurea Spa" in the steam baths or sauna. Afterwards, they can end their day of well-being with a drink in the spa bar. The healthy and colourful cocktails are the perfect refreshment. The MSC Magnifica has three pools with open-air areas, which offer a nice way to cool off.

The total of 5 gourmet restaurants pamper guests with culinary delights of the highest standard. In addition to international and Mediterranean cuisine, travellers are also treated to Asian or Arabic specialities in the à la carte restaurants. The spacious theatre on the MSC Magnifica offers a show every evening for entertainment. Likewise, passengers can end the day with the changing live entertainment in the many bars and lounges. Especially for the winter season, there is now also an 18 x 2 m curling rink right next to the pools on deck 13.
