Mega ship Spectrum of the Seas

The Spectrum of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s first ship of the Quantum Ultra Class. Besides a lot of well-known facilities of the Quantum Class with the sister ships Anthem of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas, the Spectrum of the Seas is equipped with even more highlights. The new design of the ship is supposed to be appealing to Asian guests since the ship was built for the Chinese market. With 4,246 passengers the Spectrum of the Seas is a real mega ship that offers a lot of entertainment and activities.

Top-Class Entertainment

On board of the Spectrum of the Seas the highlights of the Quantum Class cannot be missing. The observation capsule North Star enables the guests to catch a glance at the ship and the sea from about 300 feet above sea level. A lot of action is provided by the surf simulator Flow Rider and even more thrills can be found at the sky diving simulator RipCord by iFly. A personal star moment for every guest can be enjoyed while performing a karaoke song. And if all of this is not enough action, guests can use even more facilities on board like roller skating, bumping cars or basketball.

Shows full of action and relaxation at the spa

Of course also the show program of the Spectrum of the Seas plays an important role on board. Breathtaking shows and perfectly stage-managed Broadway musicals cater to the daily entertainment on board. The program is supplemented by live music, a game in the casino or a comedy show. A huge screen on the pool deck lets the pool area become a huge open air movie theatre. More relaxation can be found in the Vitality spa. Guests can visit the sauna or relax during a massage or a beauty treatment. For sportive activities there is a fitness area with modern equipment. Besides the outdoor pools and whirlpools there is also an indoor pool on board of the Spectrum of the Seas.

Culinary art from China to the West

In terms of culinary arts the Spectrum of the Seas mainly serves Chinese tastes but western dishes are also served on board. The spacious main restaurant and the Windjammer Marketplace buffet restaurant are the main restaurants to enjoy culinary indulgences. In terms of the dining options on board the guests are flexible at the Spectrum of the Seas. Due to the Dynamic Dining concept there are neither fixed seats nor fixed mealtimes. The kitchen of the Chinese province Sichuan can be tasted in the new specialty restaurant Sichuan Red. For enthusiasts of roasted duck dishes the Wonderland’s Dadong restaurant is the place to be. But also the well-known restaurants Jamie’s Italian by star chef Jamie Oliver, Izumi and Chops Grille are present on the Spectrum of the Seas. Furthermore, a broad selection of Chinese teas and coffees can be found in the new tea and coffee salon Leaf and Bean.

Comfortable cabins and exclusive suites

From the well-priced interior cabins that are partly equipped with a large virtual window, via the comfortable outside and balcony cabins to the exclusive suites, there is the right cabin for everyone on board, since the cabin offer of the Spectrum of the Seas is especially diverse. The guests of the suites find an exclusive area on the decks 13 and 16 that provides exclusive amenities. These include a private lounge, an own restaurant and even a separate outdoor area, the “The Balcony” sun deck. Guests of the suite categories can also book a private shopping tour in an exclusive shopping area.

Family fun on board

For the first time there is an Ultimate Family Suite on board of Royal Caribbean’s fleet for up to 11 guests. On two decks there are three bedrooms so that a journey with the whole family can be enjoyed in a lot of comfort. A special highlight for kids is the slide that connects the two floors inside of the cabin. But also without booking the Ultimate Family Cabin the Spectrum of the Seas is perfect for family vacations. The numerous entertainment possibilities on board of the ship let the hearts of children and their parents beat faster. Additionally there is a diverse kid’s entertainment program for every age that promises a lot of fun.
