The Vasco da Gama is a comfortably furnished river cruise ship named after the famous Portuguese explorer who once opened the sea route to India. Following its extensive renovation in 2014, the Vasco da Gama combines functionality, elegance and a warm, welcoming atmosphere in stylish fashion.
The ship is ideally suited to river cruising. Measuring 75 metres in length and 11.4 metres in width, the MS Vasco da Gama also offers a pleasantly intimate travel experience.
Up to 136 guests can be accommodated in a total of 70 outside cabins spread across three decks. Throughout the journey, a crew of 25 attentively looks after the passengers’ well-being and provides friendly, personalised service.
Comfortable Cabins for Restful Moments
The cabins on board the MS Vasco da Gama measure between 11 and 12.5 m² and offer ideal conditions for a relaxing stay. Most of the cabins are located on the Upper Deck and feature large panoramic windows.
The cabins on the Middle and Main Decks are equipped with generous fixed windows that allow plenty of natural light into the room.
All cabins feature a private bathroom with shower and toilet, a television, a safe, an internal telephone, individually adjustable air conditioning, towels and Wi-Fi. The understated and elegant interior design creates an additional sense of comfort.
Fine Dining and Entertainment on the River
In the restaurant on the Main Deck, guests can enjoy delicious cuisine in a stylish atmosphere. The large windows offer beautiful views of the passing scenery during meals. A varied selection of dishes inspired by European cuisine is served.
A popular meeting place on board is the lounge bar on the Middle Deck. With its dance floor, it provides the perfect setting for sociable evenings, entertaining programmes, games and enjoyable encounters with fellow travellers.

The spacious sun deck invites guests to enjoy the journey in the open air. Comfortable loungers and a shaded area provide pleasant places to relax.
From here, guests can admire sweeping panoramic views of the varied surroundings and picturesque riverbanks. Those who like to start the day actively can also take part in the morning exercise sessions offered on board.
