Go on a journey with Junker Jörg
The home port of the Junker Jörg is located in the Lutheran city of Wittenberg, where the name of the riverboat has its origin. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther pinned his 95 theses at the door of the castle church which led to the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. To ensure his protection, Luther had been hidden at the Castle of Wartburg under the name Junker Jörg where he translated the New Testament into the German language.
