Observe Norway's dreamlike landscapes on board the Midnatsol
Midnight Sun is the name of the postal ship Midnatsol. The Midnatsol owes its name to the phenomenon that it hardly gets dark on the Nordic nights around 20 June. At 136 metres long, the ship, which was built in 2003, is one of the largest in the Hurtigruten liner service along the Norwegian coast. It can take up to 570 passengers on a voyage.
Inviting cabins and impressive decor
The Midnatsol offers many cabins and a large selection of suites. Some suites on the Midnatsol boast large bay windows, while other special features of the ship include the contemporary glass atrium in the centre of the ship and the panorama saloon above the bow, which boasts large window fronts across two decks.
Fresh air and relaxation
Guests can enjoy the fresh sea breeze on the sun deck. You are sure to find a nice spot here to read your novel from the on-board library and enjoy the view. The two whirlpools promise pure relaxation. Strengthen your muscles in the fitness room and then relax in the heat of the sauna.
No boredom for children
If you are travelling with children, you will be pleased to know that there is a playroom available for your little ones. And that's not all: with the discovery programme, children between the ages of 7 and 13 learn new and exciting things about the environment, animals, climate and culture of Norway every day. The young cruisers also experience adventures together on excursions ashore and document them in their own logbook.
Let yourself be impressed by the special features of the Midnatsol! Welcome on board!
