The MSC World Europa is the first cruise ship in the innovative MSC World Class, with which the shipping company is taking a major step towards resource-saving and environmental friendly shipping. The ship's completely new design gives an almost futuristic appearance from the outside. The cabin decks are divided into two stairways. Deck eight is located in between, inviting for sunbathing and walking over the promenade. The MSC World Europa is 333.3 meters long, 47 meters wide and about 68 meters high. Its maximum occupancy can take almost 6,800 passengers on a voyage of discovery. MSC World Europa is also the first LNG-powered cruise ship in the MSC Cruises fleet. It features a new generation of wastewater treatment systems as well as other environmental technologies, bringing it closer to the goal of zero-emission operation.
Varied days on board for all ages
Guests will experience an ultra-modern urban metropolis with many new features while at sea. There is for exemple the lively promenade with entertainment, stores and bars, a quiet Zen Zone for adults only or a Family Zone with ten new Kids areas. The ship offers a varied and exciting guest experience. Parents and children can enjoy days at sea on the family sun deck. The aqua park features integrated virtual reality technology and provides huge fun for all ages. The six pools and 14 whirlpools provide ample space to relax on board. Guests can also attend large-scale theatre shows and try to break Guinness records in exciting live shows and quiz games.
First-class culinary experience
MSC World Europa provides a gastronomic experience that focuses on seasonality and thoughtfully selected offerings. The ship has 13 dining venues, including six specialty restaurants. Onboard, travelers can look forward to two new restaurants: the Chef's Garden Kitchen and La Pescaderia, a sea-food grill with outdoor seating areas. But diners can also get their fill at the familiar restaurants. The Asian-inspired Kaito Teppanyaki Grill with sushi bar, the classic American-style steakhouse Butcher's Cut and the Latin street-food-inspired Hola! Tacos & Cantina leave nothing to be desired. There are also three buffet restaurants, one of which is even open around the clock.
The snack and bar offerings are also impressive. For the first time, craft beer can be brewed on board at the Masters of the Sea Pub. Cocktail lovers will also get their money's worth at the Elixir Cocktail Bar with sophisticated signature cocktails. An Emporium coffee bar with coffees from around the world, a South Asian tea room with oriental scents, a gin project inspired by a real distillery, a juice bar and a gelateria with a variety of ice creams - there's something for everyone aboard the World Europa!
Futuristic design on board the MSC World Europa
The striking futuristic silhouette glides lightly and gracefully over the water with its arrow-shaped bow. The unprecedented Y-shaped stern opens to the 104 meter long Europa Promenade with breathtaking panoramic sea views. The promenade is half under the open sky as well as half under an LED sky. One of the main features of the promenade is the slide "The Spiral": The centerpiece extends over eleven decks and is thus one of the longest slides at sea! Through these slides, young and old can reach the lower decks in a fast and amusing way.
