Wir sind für Sie da.
The 4x4 safari begins with a trip round the picturesque Basse-Terre before transferring to the waiting 4x4s. The trip features insights into the wild side of St. Kittys. The safari involves the negotiation of muddy tracks and craggy mountains, leading to the discovery of sugar plantations and the rainforest. This jaunt takes you off road to Cedar Grove, the monkey mountain, St Peter's Basilica, the fountain complex and the olive grove. You can enjoy wonderful views of luxuriant green sugar beet plantations, Basse-Terre, the South Eastern Peninsula with its large salt lake, and Nevis, the neighbouring island. After a break for refreshment with native fruits (from mangoes to wild raspberries) the trip continues on the wild and muddy descent down through the olive grove. The drive continues through the dense rainforest to the Upper Canyon, where the visitors will be entertained with a lecture on the development and geology of the island.
The tour begins with a visit to the picturesque Romney Gardens at the Wingfield estate. This 4000 sq. M estate is also home to the Caribelle Batik studios, where world-famous clothing is produced. An excursion into the lush tropical rainforest. Both the trip there and the return journey take the participants along the historic Leeward Coast with its views of the Caribbean through valleys and sugar beet fields, and wild green mountains.
The excursion leads through the Frigates Bay Resort area to the Southeast Peninsula highway. Panoramic views of the mountain range which is enclosed by the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The journey ends at White House Bay, starting point of a kayak tour along the untouched coastline. The participants can then, if so desired, don mask and snorkel to discover the underwater world. It's then back into the kayaks for the return trip. On sandy Friars Bay there will be an opportunity to enjoy local food and drink at the end of the excursion.
