Aruba is one of the ABC islands, along with Bonaire and Curaçao. Aruba is the smallest and most westerly of the three. Located 30 km before the coast of Venezuela, it is 30 km long and at no point wider than 9 km. While raw limestone cliffs shape the Northern coast, inland the landscape is flat and, as a result of the warm, dry climate, is bursting with a rich flora and fauna. In the South and West of Aruba you will find magical Caribbean beaches with white sands and turquoise waters, the most famous of which is "Palm Beach". The pretty island capital of Oranjestad, built in the Dutch colonial style, has the Wilhelmina Park for those who just want to relax, and the colourful market where you can take a stroll.

New Waves: Discover scuba diving

A short introduction in a pool to the equipment and procedures of diving. There follows a boat trip to the shipwreck of the Pedernalis, which lies in about 46 m of water. A guided dive around the ship.

Discover Aruba above and under water

A guided submarine trip in a semi-submarine through the entrancing underwater world off the coast of Aruba. The destination is the wreck of the freighter Antilla, which was sunk in the Second World War. The trip then continues to the California Lighthouse, the Casibari rock formations and the Natural Bridge, formed by wind and weather. Return trip via the gold mill in Boca Mahos to Oranjestad. Participants will have the opportunity to stay in Oranjestad and to return later to the ship under their own steam.
