The charming provincial capital of British Columbia is on Vancouver Island and has a very European feel to it with its narrow streets lined by stone buildings dating from the 19th century. Victorian architecture, red double-decker buses and nostalgic hackney cabs are a reminder of the colonial age of the British Empire. This is in sharp contrast to the many totem poles in the parks, which signify the amalgamation of the two cultures. Expansive parks with exotic and native plants are the perfect place to take a stroll. Sights include: Butchard Gardens, Government House, Beacon Hill Park, Craigdarroch Castle, Helmcken House, Royal British Columbia Museum.

Through Victoria by carriage

Tour in a covered carriage, drawn by two heavy draught horses (brewery horses). Among other places, the tour takes in the inner harbour and is accompanied by a guide.

Victoria Ale Trail & pub tour

The tour takes in some of the many small Victorian breweries. Beer to sample and snacks are included in the price. Participants must be at least 19 and in possession of photo ID.

Whale watching

Tour begins in the inner harbour. The high-speed catamaran takes the participants out onto the open sea. Alongside killer whales (orcas), other kinds of animal can be seen. The tour last about three and half hours. Please note: the probability of seeing whales is very high, but this cannot be guaranteed.
