Travelling in harmony with nature with Havila Capella
The Havila Capella is built in 2020 and was launched together with her identical sister ship, the Havila Castor, on Norway's postal shipping routes in spring of 2021. The ship can accommodate a maximum of 640 passengers in 179 spacious inside and outside cabins. A new type of liquid gas technology powers the ship. A battery enables the ship to sail for four hours without noise and emissions, thus blending almost seamlessly into the landscape of the Norwegian coasts. The ship's closeness to nature is also noticeable inside. The interior design is kept in warm and natural tones and reflects the northern European landscapes.
Modern and comfortable cabins
The spacious and comfortable inside and outside cabins and suites extend over four decks. Outside cabins have a window or panoramic window, while suites have their own balcony from which guests can enjoy the view in a private atmosphere. The design of the cabins, with their friendly colours, resembles the design of the entire ship. Whether there are two single beds or a double bed in the cabin depends on the cabin category. In all cabins guests can find a shower and WC, TV, wardrobe, WLAN and USB outputs, and depending on the category, even a coffee machine.
Regional traditional and modern gastronomy
The galley serves both, traditional and modern dishes from regional ingredients, adapted to the respective destinations. Meals are taken either in the buffet restaurant, where a diverse selection of rich dishes awaits guests, or in the ship's a-la-carte restaurant. In the buffet restaurant guests will receive water, tea and coffee free of charge. For the small appetite there is a café and bakery on the ship.
Activities on board the Havila Capella
For sports enthusiasts, the Havila Capella offers a fitness room with a wide range of sports equipment, which is designed to give you a perfect view of the sea. For those who prefer something more relaxed, there are whirlpools and a sauna on deck where a wonderful view is also offered to the guests. Cruise passengers can acquire knowledge about the destinations of their journey and the associated shore excursions by listening to interesting lectures in the conference rooms on board the Havila Capella. The panorama bar, the bow lounge with a glass roof and the bow viewpoint are the best places to watch the stars and the northern lights.
