Batsfjord, with a population of 2,500 is one of the most northerly municipalities of Norway and the largest fishing village in the country. Its main attraction is the church, which boasts the largest stained glass area in Europe. It was created by the artist Jardar Lunde. The church was inaugurated as a working church on May 20th 1971.
