Experience the Norwegian landscape on board the Havila Castor
Built in 2020, the Havila Castor cruises along Norway's postal shipping routes since 2021. The ship has nine decks (four of them are cabin decks). Divided in 179 inside and outside cabins and suites, the ship can accommodate up to 640 passengers. The ship is powered by sustainable liquid gas technology. In addition, the ship is equipped with a battery that enables emission-free and noiseless travel for more than four hours, thus contributing to the shipping company's goal of having as little negative impact on nature as possible. The closeness to nature is also reflected by the interior design of the ship. The interior colours are reminiscent of typical Norwegian coastal landscapes.
Spacious cabins
The Havila Castor offers inside and outside cabins with window or panoramic window as well as suites with balcony. The comfortable design of the cabins, which is kept in friendly natural tones, has a calming effect. The cabins are equipped with either one double bed or two single beds, depending on the category. Each cabin has a shower and WC, TV, closet, WIFI and USB outputs. In addition, there is even a coffee machine depending on the cabin category.
Experience authentic Scandinavian cuisine on the Havila Castor
There is a buffet restaurant and an a-la-carte-restaurant on Havila Castor. In the buffet restaurant, water, tea and coffee are included in the cruise price. The special feature of the gastronomy on board is that mainly regional products are used for the preparation of the dishes. On board, guests can choose from traditional Norwegian and modern dishes. For a coffee or snack in between, there is also a café and bakery on board.
Relax in the whirlpool
On the large promenade deck there are two whirlpools from which you can watch the passing coastal landscapes - the perfect spot to lean back and to relax. If the whirlpool is not yet warm enough for you, you should visit the sauna, which is also located on the promenade deck. For the more active guests, the ship offers a fitness room with a panoramic window. The sports equipment is arranged in such a way that you have a view of the outside at all times during training. Guests can experience their personal moment of freedom at the bow viewpoint. Here you can feel the wind in your face and enjoy the unrestricted view. Without the wind and instead with a cup of tea or coffee, guests can also enjoy the view from the panorama bar. You have a special perspective when you watch the sky through the roof window of the bow lounge.
