The name Dumont d’Urville comes from the French navigator and polar explorer Jules-Sébastien-César Dumont d’Urville who travelled to different parts of the world. The 184 passengers on board find accommodation in the 92 luxurious cabins and suites on board. These are generously dimensioned with 19 – 45 m² and a private balcony as a private retreat on the ship. Furthermore, the cabins and suites are equipped with a minibar with free beverages, a video on demand movie selection and high-grade beauty products.Infinity pool and a marina for water sports activities
The public areas leave nothing to be desired. There is a boutique for small purchases, a spa, a fitness area and a theatre for 188 persons. On the pool deck there are different possibilities to relax, e.g. taking a sunbath or swimming in the infinity pool. The hydraulic extendable Marina on board simplifies the embarkation and disembarkation and the access to the Zodiacs for expedition cruises. Moreover, different watersports as kayaking, diving or swimming are possible right from the ship via the marina.Two restaurants on board
Culinary indulgences are provided in the two restaurants on board of Le Dumont d’Urville. The main restaurant on deck 4 offers – besides enough space for all passengers – selected main dishes served at the table as well as a salad and dessert buffet.
