The excursion begins with a visit to the Gibralfaro fortress, built in the Phoenician era. The fortress offers a marvellous view of Malaga and the surrounding area. The trip then continues to the cathedral, built on the foundation of an old mosque. Last point on the programme is a visit to the city centre with its typical boulevards and winding lanes.
The excursion programme firstly takes in a visit to the holiday destination which reflects both modernism and the Andalusian tradition. There is then free time to admire the typical, whitewashed houses and the winding lanes with charming restaurants, bars and shops.
The main item on the programme of excursion is a visit to the stalagmite caves, discovered in 1959, close to the little village of Nerja at the foot of the Sierra de Almijara. There will then be free time to go for walks.
