With the Vasco da Gama the guests discover the variety of the oceans in a personal atmosphere and stylish ambience. The ship was built in 1993, went through full structural alterations in 2005 and got renovated again in 2017, 2021 and 2025. From these changes extensive passenger areas with discreet luxury arose on nine passenger decks. Even dialysis patients can travel with the Vasco da Gama. Level showers on deck five allow easier access. The Vasco da Gama is also equipped with modern environmental features. The sewage system and energy-saving underwater coating contribute to a lower environmental impact, as do the ship's shore power system and low-emission engines.
Stylish cabins with feel-good atmosphere
On a length of 219 m and a width of 31 m 630 cabins are placed on five decks. From the diverse offer of different categories the guests can choose their personal retreat. The spacious cabins offer comfort and a feel-good atmosphere and are all equipped with individual air-conditioning, TV, wardrobe, hairdryer and safe. In most of the cabins the single beds can be converted into one double bed. According to the category the private bathrooms have a shower or bath tub, some with whirlpool function as well as bathrobes and slip-on shoes. For families and groups the cabins with connecting door are suitable.
Culinary experiences on highest level
Mediterranean and Far Eastern delights await the guests in 6 restaurants with menu selection and breath-taking view over the ocean. In an informal atmosphere and with free choice of seat and time the guests dine on highest level. The buffet restaurant Club Bistro offers at different service stations a daily world trip of culinary delights. Delicious coffee specialties are available at Cappuccino´s. Varied tasty drinks can be enjoyed at five lounge-bars and one pool bar with musical entertainment. The wine bar rounds the gastronomic offer off.
No chance for boredom aboard the Vasco da Gama
Numerous entertainment and sport opportunities guarantee joy. The show-lounge Hollywood´s extends impressively over two decks and offers evening entertainment with the onboard show ensemble. On the top deck the maritime designed lookout lounge Dome turns into a pulsating night club in the evening. Suite guests also have access to a dedicated lounge with exclusive access and a wide range of drinks. The central atrium offers a shopping gallery, photo shop and excursion office on three decks. The guests can try their luck with games in the casino or game cards room, the library has the right reading matter for the journey in store and the cinema shows entertaining and informative movies. Sport enthusiasts can enjoy themselves on the Vasco da Gama as well. While training at the fitness center the incredible captain´s view rewards the effort. Further sportive variety can be found on the top deck where a jogging trail, tennis, basketball and sports courts are located. Afterwards the Wellness & Beauty Center with spa, sauna and steam bath guarantees relaxation.
